Security of users account is extremely important and Stripe can only speak to the listed account representative. If the current account representative PR (redacted for security purposes) is no longer with your company, Stripe require a change of ownership.
Stripe will require a letter confirming who should be listed as the new company representative. This letter should be signed by your company's CEO or Board Member, company letterhead and authorize the transfer of ownership of the Stripe account to a new representative.
Please include the following information:
- Business name
- EIN/VAT
- Business address
- Previous owner's name and date of birth
- New owner's name and date of birth
New Owner Administrator’s email address (this should be the one they use to log into Stripe)
Stripe strongly recommend that the person who holds the title of Company Representative is also the person who controls the Owner Administrator login for the Stripe account.
Stripe also ask that the signatory on this letter is not the same person who is being appointed as the new Company Representative. For example, if the CEO is being appointed as Company Representative, please have a board member or other member of the C-suite sign and authorise the letter.
After the scanned copy of that letter has been received, a quick verification call will need to be made with the new representative to finish the process. Stripe will need with the following information:
- our time zone
- a couple times that work for you to take our call
- best contact number to reach you
