Follow these simple steps:
- Verify That The App Can Be Transferred - Before initiating the transfer, ensure your app meets Apple's criteria. At least one version of the app must have been live on the App Store. For detailed criteria, refer to Apple’s guidelines.
- Back-Up All Of The App’s Information - Since the app will be removed from your account post-transfer, it's essential to back up all relevant information.
- Obtain The Apple ID and Team ID Of The Account Holder - You'll need the Apple ID (email address) and Team ID of the Account Holder of the receiving Apple account. They can find the Team ID by logging into App Store Connect and navigating to their user profile. If you haven't obtained the Team ID yet, refer to this article on "How to find a Team ID." If you've already acquired the Team ID, you can skip this step.
- Initiate The App Transfer - If your account has multiple users assigned to it, ensure that the Account Holder initiates the app transfer. If you're the sole user of the Apple Developer Account, you automatically hold the role of Account Holder. Once the Account Holder is identified, they will commence the app transfer process. Here's how:
- Sign in to your App Store Connect Account via this link here
- Navigate to My Apps
- On the My Apps page, select the app you intend to transfer.
- Scroll down to Additional Information and Click on Transfer App
- Review the checklist provided by Apple at the outset of the app transfer process. If all criteria are met, click Done. Address any unchecked items before proceeding.
- Input the Apple ID and Team ID of the Account Holder of the Target Account for the app transfer.
- Accept Apple’s Terms and Click “Request Transfer”.
- After agreeing to Apple’s terms, proceed by clicking “Request Transfer” to finalize the transfer process from your end.
- Once completed, click “Done” to return to the App Information page.
5. Accept the App Transfer to the Target Account
Once the original Apple developer account has initiated the transfer request, the Account Holder of the account where the app is being transferred to must accept the transfer using the following steps:
- Sign in to the App Store Connect Account via: https://appstoreconnect.apple.com/login
- A notification indicating an app ready for transfer should be visible.
- Navigate to Agreements, Tax and Banking
4. On the Agreements, Tax and Banking page, locate the App Transfers section where the app is listed. Click the Review button next to it.
5. You need to add the Support and Privacy Policy URL in the new app metadata fields.
- Support: https://support.loke.global/hc/en-us/requests/new
- Privacy Policy URL: https://www.loke.global/privacy-policy
6. Select I have read and agree to the agreement presented above and click Accept.
NOTE: The app transfer process may take up to two business days, during which the app status will show as Processing App Transfer. Once the transfer is complete, the app will no longer be visible in the original App Store Connect account.
By following these steps, you can seamlessly transfer your app between Apple Developer accounts. Ensure all parties involved understand their roles and responsibilities throughout the process to expedite the transfer successfully.
After completing the app transfer process, kindly send a confirmation email to your LOKE Account Manager or support@loke.global. Once you do this, we'll then check that everything is in order, from our end.
