Setting up a Twilio account

LOKE supports the functionality of triggering an SMS based upon certain actions happening within the platform. A good example of this is triggering an 'Your Order is Ready' SMS when an order is marked as 'Complete' or 'Ready' on the POS. To do this, you will need to set up a Twilio account which you can do by using the instructions below: 

1.  Visit Twilio and create a new account.

2.  You may find the following answers helpful at the account creation stage: 

3.  Be sure to authorise your account. You will need to do this via an SMS code and there is likely to be an email code that you will need to input into Twilio to authenticate your account. 

4.  Once you have an account you will need to do a few extra things...

• You will need upgrade to a premium account
• You will need to obtain a 'virtual number'
• You will need to top up your account and ensure auto-recharge is enabled

You should find this functionality pretty readily through the sidebar...see example below:

5.  Once you have successfully set up your account, you will need to share details of:

• Account SID
• Auth Token
• Your virtual number

6. Once you have provided this information to LOKE, we will configure the data within our internal systems accordingly to trigger the SMS notifications.
