A discount that is only available to your loyalty members is a great way to create exclusivity. 

Who would want to miss out on a great discount if their friend is getting it... 

Be running an exclusive offer for a small period of time, like a week - you create a buzz around your members program.  You can also see if your suppliers would like to contribute to this campaign and work with them to promote their products in particular. 

"Members get 25% off local beers THIS WEEK ONLY"

SET UP: 

Step 1: Go to Customers
Step 2: Select "Create List" and choose smart list

Step 3: Choose "total spend" is "less than" "100000" (or any large number, this is a great way to have a list with all customers"

Step 4: Choose "edit list" and add a discount inlcuding the product ID's you would like to offer the discount on.  Learn how to get PLU's here
