Within the LOKE platform you are able to set-up a delivery areas in a number of ways;
- By postcodes/zip codes
- By radius
- By delivery zones
This article will take you through each of the different ways to set-up your delivery area.
Getting started
To configure your delivery location log onto LOKE Office follow these steps;
- Log onto LOKE Office
- Select Locations in the left-hand bar and find the location you wish to configure
- On the top banner select Settings
- On this page you will be able to configure your delivery settings
By Radius
On the settings page, scroll down until you see the text box Maximum delivery distance. This is where you are able to set a value in miles for the US region and kilometres rest of the world. Ensure that you hit save at the bottom of the screen,
Postcodes/zip codes
Scroll down on the settings page until you see Postcodes/Delivery Postcodes text box and enter the postcodes or zip codes and save. This will restrict delivery locations to the certain postcodes/zip codes. Multiple codes can be entered, ensure that you separate each code by a comma.
Delivery Zone
If you need to set up a delivery area that does not fall within a fixed radius or a specific postcode/zip codes then you are able to upload a KML file which denotes the delivery area. A KML file is file format used on earth browser that plots an area.
NOTE: Not available for Kounta and Zonal clients.
To use delivery zone then scroll down on the settings page until you see where you are able to upload a file under the Delivery section.
- Tick the checkbox Use custom delivery areas
- Click on the box Drag and drop file here, or click to select file - this is where you are able to upload your KML file. Once uploaded don't forget to save.
You are able to view your delivery area by clicking on View Map.
NOTE: Only one area (polygon) can be uploaded per location.
How to create your own KML file
KML files can be created via Google Earth Pro using the polygon tool, for more detailed steps on using this feature, see the screen recording below:
If you need to join multiple separate areas you can build a very small bridge. An area can have cutouts internally, but these files cannot be made in Google Earth Pro, and would either require a different tool or manually editing the KML files.
